CLUB POLICIES
Welcome to Duleek Schoolboys & Schoolgirls football club, where every child and young adult is valued and included. Our club is dedicated to creating a happy and safe environment where everyone can learn to play and love football.
We believe in treating each member equally and promoting fair play, team spirit, and friendship. Our training sessions are open to all children, regardless of their ability, gender, color, creed, or religion. We prioritize the interests of our junior members and ask all adults involved, whether as managers, coaches, parents, or committee members, to encourage fair play and commitment.
Our club is guided by principles that prioritize the best interests of the child and their development. We value integrity in all relationships, ensuring that adults interact with young people and each other with respect and honesty. We foster a quality atmosphere and ethos that focus on creating a safe and positive environment, where competition is balanced with age-appropriate activities. Equality is at the core of our values, as we believe in treating everyone fairly and inclusively, regardless of their background. We also embrace the concept of fair play, aligning with Sport Ireland’s Code of Ethics and Good Practice, as well as FIFA’s spirit of fair play and compassion.
Competition plays a role in the development of young people, and we understand the importance of balance. Our coaches and managers prioritize the welfare of the child above competitive standards, following the guidelines of the FAI’s Player Development Plan. We encourage parents to familiarize themselves with this plan as well.
